4 Ways To Harness The Power Of Saying No!

Saying No is an art.

Sometimes we want to say yes but we should be saying no.

Saying no is something we all have to learn in order to set your boundaries but it can be difficult at times. Learning how to say no to a friend or how to say no without feeling guilty is never as straight forward as it sounds.

We’re going to give you 4 tips help you:

1 . Don’t say yes or no right away.

You can and should wait before getting back to them. Make sure you’re in the right mental headspace to decide by taking enough time and energy to do so.

2 . Consider the cost

Before saying yes or no, be sure you know what you are saying yes or no to. How will this affect you and your needs? Can you even do it? Maybe you can do some parts but not others which, in that case you could come to a new arrangement with whoever’s asking. This leads us to our third point.

. Offer an alternative

You might not be able to do it but you might know someone who can.

Or just say no.

It sounds like a drug advert but it’s really the best advice. Just say no or politely decline. You’re entitled to do so and if you’ve considered all the steps above you’ll be saying no with reason.

So, there you have it; the art of saying no.
